East Coast Warriors Club News

12th June 2010 - Under 13's End of Season Report.

East Coast Warriors U13s have just finished a highly successful season in the North East Norfolk Youth League, completing the league and cup double. A combination of a potent attacking force and a tenacious defence, ensured that they were rarely troubled in the league. During the league season they scored 129 goals, conceding only 26 and won 16 of their 18 games. Their sole defeat was at the hands of runners-up, Old Catton A in the penultimate game. However, the title was wrapped up in style in the final match with a convincing 9 -1 victory over Wendene, who earlier in the season had held Warriors to their only draw. Their cup run produced a series of exciting games, starting in the quarter-finals when they came from behind to defeat their main rivals ,Old Catton A, 3-1. In the semi-final against a determined Aylsham they overcame a 3 goal deficit, before running out 5-3 winners. The season culminated in a final, in which the Warriors were able to showcase their flowing football with a 5-1 victory over a sporting Old Catton B. The team and parents wish to thank manager Mark Sadler for guiding the squad through an enjoyable season. The squad consisted of goalkeeper, G Randall, defenders J Daniels, N Oxley, J Platt, E Knight, midfielders L Coleman, C Cole, A Ridgway, C Sadler, K Wharton and strikers J Sadler, L Jackson, S Creasey and M Gray. Having outgrown their current kit, the team are now seeking a sponsor for a new kit for next season: please call 07899 092803 if you can help.
